Since opening in 1998, the Yocha-De-He Preparatory School has guided its students in developing self-confidence, responsibility, creativity, integrity and a respect for others, the environment and the world.

Students at Yocha-De-He have the luxury of a very individualized instructional experience. The heart of any school is in its students, its teachers, and what happens between them as formal and informal teaching. Yocha-De-He has been fortunate to recruit in its short history teachers of rare dedication and sensitivity. Students at Yocha-De-He, from four weeks of age to adult, parents, the community and the Tribe all work together to learn and grow. The low student-teacher ratio allows the teachers to be attentive to each student’s current achievement level and learning style.
