Daniel Etcheverry

Dan is a firefighter and paramedic at Yocha Dehe Fire Department. He was born in San Francisco in 1972, and grew up in Marin County.

Dan’s career in the fire service started during college. He received his emergency medical technician card in 1993 and completed fire academy at Santa Rosa Junior College shortly thereafter. During fire academy, Dan began volunteering for Ross Fire Department He spent seven years there, expanding his training.

From 1994-1998 Dan worked as a seasonal firefighter for the Marin County Fire Department. In 1999 he started working for private ambulance companies, and after four years on an ambulance, he completed his paramedic training through NCTI in Sacramento.

After a year serving on a 911 ambulance in a busy system, Dan began his career at YDFD in October 2004.
