The Yocha Dehe Department of Health & Wellness is dedicated to providing tribal members with the tools and resources they need to improve the health and well-being of each individual, family and the community. The Department of Health & Wellness, with the guidance of the Health & Wellness Committee, maintains a holistic approach in providing support, direct services and educational workshops for all tribal members. The department is focused on physical, emotional and spiritual health of each and every tribal member.
The Department of Health & Wellness provides tribal members and staff with monthly health education materials, a comprehensive physical and mental health reference guide, bi-weekly health classes at the Yocha Dehe Wintun Academy, annual flu clinics, on-site mental health services, advocacy for quality healthcare, health and safety information and protocol, individual and family case management, and quarterly specialized health improvement and maintenance educational workshops.
The Department of Health & Wellness will continue to support tribal members in their efforts and requests for specialized health programs by providing the tools and resources necessary to assist tribal members in making life-changing decisions to improve their physical, emotional and spiritual health.
