Mia Durham

Mia Durham is serving her second term as a member of the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation Tribal Council after being re-elected in January 2012.

Mia is actively involved in the tribal community, serving as chair of the Health and Wellness Committee, vice chair of the Yocha Dehe School Board and the Yocha Dehe Community Fund Committee, secretary of the Cultural Committee, and is a member of the Cache Creek Casino Resort board and the Property, Farm and Ranch Committee. Mia has also been nominated to the board of trustees at the UC Davis Children’s Hospital.

Mia has always wanted to serve on the Tribal Council and passionately believes that it is important to have a voice in the daily operations of the Tribe. She is also engaged in the business aspects of Yocha Dehe and enjoys the balance of work and culture as a Tribal Council Member. For Mia, preserving the culture, language and traditions of the Tribe are essential.
