Norman Campiz
Norman Campiz is the intermediate class teacher for Yocha Dehe Wintun Academy. He earned his BA in mathematics and his multicultural/multilingual elementary teaching credential from California State University Sacramento.
Prior to joining Yocha Dehe, Norman worked at the Woodland Unified School District, where he taught at Lee Middle School.
During his 16 years at Lee, Norman taught English as a second language, science and math. For seven years, Norman held the position of Math Department Chair, and participated in the nationally recognized MESA program (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement), and AVID (Achievement Via Individual Determination) a multifaceted program designed to increase the high school graduation rate and encourage rigorous academic coursework.
Norman’s interests include camping, soccer and gardening.
